Am i elitist for loving the Elite?

So here we are. The second book in The Selection series. We have just been completely floored by the arrival of Aspen as one of the Kings guards - ready to fight for America in the conclusion of the selection. Boy- was that surprise out of left field. I feel like Kiera Cass at this point if sitting behind her keyboard going “mwahahaha”, I set curveball here, “mwahaha” shock them here. Op and lets just go and end the book rightttt here. Boop.

Only now in the Elite, America is facing her toughest competition and she only now just realised that she does love Maxon and she is willing to fight for him. As the attacks on the castle become more frequent from both the northerns and southerns America thinks perhaps Maxon's theory could be right maybe they are looking for something. The question on both their lips is what?

With the revelation that Prince Spencer didn't die, but in fact is the reason the Northern rebels exist, it throws the whole balance of Illea into question. And the journals of Gregory Illea are connect to all of this somehow.

As King Clarkson's true nature is revealed he wants America out of the selection, It only throws America and Maxon closer together.

I have to say book 2 was even better than book 1. I loved the Elite. It got to the point where i wanted to slap America and tell her to get her stubborn a** out there and show Maxon the love he deserved! She got to a point where i found her frustrating, i am a huge supporter of women fighting for their own mind, but at the same time i found America to be just annoying. She took heaps of Maxon's secrets, got him to share so much with her, yet she couldn't even tell him her ex boyfriend was standing  guard by her door. Don't get me wrong, when she said she wanted to abandon the castes system i was cheering for her, but when she revealed Gregory Illeas Journal i too felt betrayed like the royal family.

I am a grouch- i know! and even though i am saying these negative things, i loved this book. i read it in four hours. Yep thats right count them - 4 HOURS! i could not put it down. I was cheering, literally cheering when America finally realised what i had been yelling at the pages of the first book and a half that she loved him and needed to fight for him.

In the second complex tale we are brought deeper and deeper into the world of Illea and fall more and more in love with America and Maxons love story.

AND SO THE ONE BEGINS!
