I got a subscription to the kindle unlimited so you didnt have to

The plight of any reader is usually "i read so many books that i have run out of space on my book shelf", even though in my opinion those words should never ever be uttered, the unfortunate truth is - they are. Not to mention the whole, books use paper and they aren't exactly environmentally friendly, and the are expensive. Boy i think my bank account can verify this.

Enter the e-book revelation.  I for one have loved having a kindle, a firm ibooks user, the ease in which you can click on a new book and have it in your virtual library in seconds has been a game changer. Of course, Amazon as the trend setter they are created a whole new service 'kindle' and 'kindle unlimited'. I gave them a go so you wouldn't have to.

Before i continue, i need to disclaim, all opinions are my own and i paid for my own subscription, there is no affiliation here.

In my infinite wisdom, i decided i would give kindle unlimited a go mostly because i am a big reader and i thought, "hey, i think i need to have unlimited access here." Its a big reason why i am not a giant library fan, i've never been good at having due dates for books, especially if i love the book - i want it to stay in my library virtual or otherwise.

Initially, i signed up to Kindle unlimited which for my Aussie buddies it is $13.99 a month (Im not too sure about other currencies), and you get charged after the second month. In my head i was like, "Caroline, how have you gone your whole life without signing up to this. $13.99 a month for as many books i can read, its like they are practically free?"

Here is the catch... Kindle unlimited only allows you to borrow 10 books at a time. The unlimited meaning behind this is you dont have a set date to return your book not have unlimited books in your library. So throughout the whole month you can read 10 books at a time, and continue to return the 10 books but in your little library you can only hold 10 books. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, but if your like me (a book hoarder) then it proves difficult. I really like the fact there is so many books at the tip of your fingers, and most importantly the subscription itself is incredibly economical especially if your a person who reads multiple books in a month, but i dont know if i'm exactly sold on this service, i think i much prefer to own the book entirely instead of borrowing it from a virtual library.

Overall, i give the service a thumbs up approval, but i dont think it will be replacing my hard copies anytime soon.
